- Columbus McKinnon Corporation
- Suncor Stainless
- Kulkoni
- Newco
These partnerships allow us to provide a complete range of rigging hardware and components designed for demanding industrial applications.
Crosby Products
Crosby is a recognized leader in rigging hardware, known for its quality control, traceability, and compliance with ASME and OSHA requirements. Kennedy Wire Rope stocks a wide range of Crosby components, including:
- Shackles
- Hooks and swivels
- Eye bolts and turnbuckles
- McKissick blocks and sheaves
- IP lifting clamps
Turnbuckles
Crosby turnbuckles are used to adjust tension or length in rigging systems. Options include jaw and eye, hook and hook, eye and eye, and hook and eye configurations. Key technical features include:
- Quenched and tempered end fittings
- Normalized body for consistent strength at variable temperatures
- Hot-dip galvanized finish for corrosion resistance
- Designed to meet ASTM and ASME performance standards
Other Rigging Hardware
Shackles
Forged alloy steel shackles are available in screw pin, bolt-type, and round pin designs. All are quenched, tempered, and proof-tested. Applications include connection of slings, lifting devices, and hardware.
Hooks & Swivels
Available in foundry, sling, grab, and self-locking designs. Swivels are offered in standard and load-bearing types to reduce line twisting.
Plate Lifting Clamps
Designed for vertical and horizontal lifting of plate materials. Available in multiple jaw sizes and load capacities.
- Inspect for wear, deformation, and locking mechanism function
- Remove defective clamps from service
- Kennedy Wire Rope provides repair and recertification services
Sheave Blocks
Sheave blocks guide wire rope for load handling. Selection depends on:
- Load capacity – must meet or exceed maximum applied load
- Sheave size – matched to rope diameter to minimize wear
- Block type – snatch blocks, multiple-sheave blocks, and custom assemblies
Snatch Blocks
Snatch blocks are used to change direction of pull or increase line capacity in winching applications. Features include:
- Side plate opening for midline rope installation
- Heavy-duty sheaves with anti-friction bearings
- Options for hook, shackle, or tailboard fittings
Lifting Beams
Engineered beams distribute loads across multiple pick points. Applications include handling containers, machinery, and bulk material.
- Available in fixed and adjustable designs
- Capacities engineered per ASME B30.20 standards
- Custom designs available for non-standard lifts
Inspection & Safety
All rigging hardware should be inspected before each use and removed from service if showing signs of deformation, excessive wear, cracks, or other defects. Kennedy Wire Rope provides inspection, testing, and repair services for all major hardware categories.
