Sling Types

Single-leg Sling – Designed for even load distribution. Can be customized with sling hooks, master links, foundry hooks, or grab hooks. Available in adjustable or basket configurations. Appropriate for lifting loads up to 70,000 lbs.

Double-leg Sling – Built for heavy load distribution. Each leg must be evenly loaded to maintain rated capacity. Customizable with various hook types. Can be configured as adjustable or used in a double endless basket hitch. Suitable for loads up to 100,000 lbs.

Multi-leg Sling – Ideal for extremely large or heavy loads. Weight must be evenly distributed across three- or four-leg configurations to ensure rated capacity. Appropriate for lifting loads up to 180,000 lbs.

Chain Sling Inspection

Clean the Chain – Remove oil, dirt, and paint to reveal hidden defects such as corrosion or cracks.

Measure Sling Legs – Check that each sling leg matches its original length; replace legs that are stretched or worn.

Inspect the Hooks – Look for bending or throat openings exceeding 5% of the original size. Replace if defective.

Tag Defective Slings – Clearly mark unusable slings with a “Do Not Use” tag to prevent unsafe operation.
