Plasma Rope

Believed to be one of the strongest ropes in the world, Plasma Rope delivers the strength and resilience needed for the most demanding applications. Constructed from ultra-tough HMPE synthetic fibers (Honeywell Spectra 900), its 12-strand braided design offers exceptional durability with the handling ease of a synthetic rope. Plasma rope is strong enough to rival wire rope while remaining lightweight, flexible, and simple to maneuver—making it ideal for lifting, winching, towing, and mooring in tough environments.

Key Advantages:

  • High strength-to-weight ratio – as strong as wire rope with a fraction of the weight.

  • Durable & resilient – built to withstand harsh environments.

  • Easy to handle – flexible, lightweight, and simple to maneuver.

  • Corrosion resistant – unaffected by saltwater and chemicals.

  • Versatile applications – ideal for lifting, winching, towing, and mooring.

Towlines, Winches & Slings
In addition to offering plasma rope in various lengths, our skilled team can craft it into a wide range of products, including slings, mooring lines, towlines, and winch lines. Every product is custom-built to your specifications, ensuring you get a solution that meets your exact needs. Backed by over 40 years of experience serving the oil & gas and heavy industry markets, we provide plasma-based rigging products that are proven in the field.

Inspection & Maintenance
Even the toughest rope requires regular care. We provide complete inspection and maintenance services to ensure your plasma rope stays in top condition. Our technicians check for signs of wear or weakness, perform necessary repairs, and complete post-repair testing so you can operate with full confidence in your equipment’s safety and performance.

Value & Reliability
We understand that cost-effective lifting solutions matter. That’s why our plasma rope products are competitively priced, built to last, and supported by personalized service. Our reputation is built on providing responsive support and delivering products that work as hard as you do.

Polypropylene Rope

Polypropylene rope is a lightweight, versatile, and cost-effective solution for a wide range of applications. Its buoyant nature and resistance to rot make it a dependable option for both land-based and marine environments. Kennedy Wire Rope & Sling Company carries polypropylene rope in multiple diameters and constructions to meet your project needs.

Key Advantages:

  • Lightweight & easy to handle – floats on water and resists water absorption.

  • Chemical resistance – resists most oils, solvents, and common chemicals.

  • Rot-proof – will not mildew or deteriorate from moisture exposure.

  • Economical choice – cost-effective option for general-purpose use.

  • Wide application range – ideal for marine, utility, construction, and safety uses.

Durability & Use
While polypropylene rope is not as strong as nylon or polyester, it offers an excellent balance of strength, weight, and affordability. It holds up well in wet environments and is a go-to choice for temporary or general-purpose rigging and tying. Its floating capability also makes it suitable for water rescue, pool, and marine use.

Polyester (Poly-Dac) Rope

Polyester (Poly-Dac) rope combines the strength and durability of polyester with the lightweight flexibility of polypropylene in a blended construction. This hybrid rope is designed to provide long-lasting performance while being easy to handle, making it an excellent choice for many lifting and rigging tasks.

Key Advantages:

  • Strong & durable – polyester jacket resists abrasion and UV damage.

  • Lightweight – polypropylene core reduces overall rope weight.

  • Weather resistant – resists rot, mildew, and moisture absorption.

  • Cost-effective – offers excellent value with long service life.

  • Versatile use – popular for rigging, mooring, and general-purpose lifting.

Durability & Use
Poly-Dac rope is designed for strength retention in outdoor and heavy-use environments. The polyester sheath provides resistance against UV rays, chemicals, and abrasion, while the polypropylene core helps keep the rope light and easy to handle. This makes it a dependable option for construction, marine, and industrial applications where durability and manageability are equally important.

Nylon Rope

Nylon rope is known for its exceptional strength, elasticity, and shock absorption, making it one of the most popular choices for heavy-duty lifting and rigging applications. Kennedy Wire Rope & Sling Company offers nylon rope in a range of diameters and constructions to suit diverse operational requirements.

Key Advantages:

  • High strength – one of the strongest synthetic fibers used in rope manufacturing.

  • Shock absorbing – stretches under load, reducing impact in dynamic applications.

  • Abrasion resistance – excellent durability even under rough use.

  • Weather resistant – resists damage from UV rays, moisture, and rot.

  • Versatile applications – used in towing, lifting, marine, and industrial operations.

Durability & Use
Nylon rope retains its strength even when exposed to abrasion and harsh environments, making it suitable for rigging, lifting, towing, and anchoring. Its stretch properties make it ideal where shock load management is critical. However, nylon does absorb water, which can temporarily reduce strength—an important factor to consider in marine settings.

Manila Rope

Manila rope is a classic natural fiber rope made from the abacá plant, valued for its traditional look, rugged performance, and reliable grip. Often used in construction, agriculture, shipping, and decorative applications, manila rope remains a trusted material for both practical and aesthetic purposes.

Key Advantages:

  • Natural fiber – made from renewable abacá plant fibers.

  • Strong grip – coarse texture prevents slipping when handled or tied.

  • Durable – resistant to sunlight, heat, and general wear.

  • Traditional appearance – natural look suitable for landscaping, decoration, and theater/stage use.

  • Versatile use – ideal for rigging, farming, shipping, and utility purposes.

Durability & Use
While manila rope is strong, it is not as long-lasting as synthetic ropes in wet or chemical-exposed environments. It does best in dry, outdoor conditions where UV and abrasion resistance are more important than moisture resistance. This rope is commonly used for handrails, obstacle courses, landscaping projects, stage rigging, and general-purpose pulling and tying.

Polyester Double-Braid Rope

When you need a rope that combines strength, durability, and reliability, our Polyester Double-Braid Rope is a proven choice. Designed to withstand tough conditions, it delivers dependable performance for rigging, lifting, and other demanding applications—giving you confidence that your rope will hold up over the long haul.

Key Advantages:

  • High strength & low stretch – stronger than nylon, with less elongation under load.

  • Chemical resistance – holds up against acids, alkalis, bleach, solvents, and petroleum-based products.

  • Moisture resistant – maintains strength when wet.

  • UV resistant – stands up to long-term outdoor use without breaking down.

  • Heat tolerance – will not melt at temperatures below 240°C.

Chemical Resistance
One of the biggest advantages of polyester double braid rope is its broad chemical resistance. The fibers are unaffected by many common industrial agents, including acids, alkalis, bleach, solvents, and petroleum products—making it versatile across a wide range of applications. While performance may be reduced at higher temperatures, polyester is highly dependable in most working environments.

Durability & Performance
Polyester rope is built for longevity. Compared to nylon, it offers greater strength, less stretch, and superior resistance to wear and UV degradation. This makes it particularly well-suited for lifting applications and outdoor use, where maintaining consistent performance is essential. Its double-braid construction enhances abrasion resistance while ensuring flexibility and handling ease.

Value & Reliability
We know that cost-effective lifting solutions are important to our customers, which is why everything we offer is competitively priced and designed to provide maximum value-for-money. As an established provider with decades of experience, we believe a personalized, responsive service and exceptional products are the keys to our continued success.
