3-strand twisted Nylon is a blend of nylon and polyester renowned for its elasticity and excellent shock-absorbing properties. New Nylon ropes can stretch up to 20-25% of their length before breaking. However, their stretch capacity diminishes with use, and they can lose 10% of their tensile strength when wet. These ropes offer good abrasion resistance, are rot-proof, and resist oil, gasoline, and most chemicals. Additionally, they provide good UV resistance. Nylon cordage can last 4-5 times longer than natural fiber ropes.
