Crosby® Turnbuckles provide reliable tensioning and adjustment for demanding lifting, rigging, and securing applications. These heavy-duty turnbuckles deliver strength, durability, and dependable performance across industrial, marine, utility, and construction environments.

Available configurations include eye and eye, hook and hook, jaw and jaw, and jaw and eye assemblies. This wide selection allows users to match the correct turnbuckle style to specific applications and system requirements.

Crosby® manufactures the end fittings from quenched and tempered or normalized steel for superior strength and durability. The bodies receive heat treatment through a normalizing process to improve structural performance. These enhanced materials provide excellent toughness and impact resistance across a broad temperature range.

The quenched and tempered end fittings improve fatigue resistance during repeated loading cycles. Crosby® also designs the bodies with enhanced impact properties for dependable performance in harsh environments. These features help extend product life and reduce wear during demanding service conditions.

Each Crosby® Turnbuckle receives a hot-dip galvanized finish for corrosion resistance and long-term durability. This protective coating helps defend the steel from moisture, weather exposure, and harsh environmental conditions. The galvanized finish supports reliable outdoor and marine performance.

Crosby® forges the hooks with a larger cross-sectional area for additional strength and improved fatigue properties. The stronger hook design supports higher durability under repeated stress and heavy loading conditions. Crosby® also uses modified UNJ threads on the end fittings to improve fatigue resistance further. The turnbuckle body features UNC threads for secure adjustment and dependable engagement.

The forged turnbuckle eyes feature an elongated design for easier system attachment and reduced stress concentration. For sizes ranging from 1/4-inch through 2-1/2-inch, users can reeve a shackle one size smaller directly through the eye. This design improves versatility and simplifies rigging connections.

Forged jaw ends include bolts and nuts on sizes from 1/4-inch through 5/8-inch. Larger sizes from 3/4-inch through 2-3/4-inch use pins and cotters for secure attachment.

Crosby® Turnbuckles perform in temperatures ranging from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. These turnbuckles support straight or in-line pull applications only. All Crosby® Turnbuckles meet or exceed ASME B30.26 requirements for identification, ductility, proof loading, and temperature performance.

Crosby also maintains strict standards for fatigue life, impact resistance, and material traceability. These additional performance standards provide confidence in demanding lifting and rigging operations.
