Crosby designed the G-429 Fist Grip® Clip to eliminate common installation mistakes associated with traditional U-bolt wire rope clips. Unlike standard U-bolt designs, the Fist Grip® Clip cannot install upside down. This design helps ensure proper orientation during every installation and improves overall safety and reliability.
The Crosby® Fist Grip® design applies to wire rope clip sizes from 3/16-inch through 5/8-inch. Larger sizes from 3/4-inch through 1-1/2-inch retain the original Crosby design. Both configurations deliver strong holding power and dependable performance under heavy loads.
Each Crosby G-429 features forged steel saddles for superior strength and durability. The forged construction withstands demanding conditions and repeated loading cycles. Crosby also applies a galvanized finish to protect the clip from corrosion and environmental exposure.
These wire rope clips provide strong holding efficiency across multiple wire rope sizes. Sizes from 3/16-inch through 7/8-inch achieve 80 percent efficiency based on catalog wire rope breaking strength. Sizes from 1-inch through 1-1/2-inch achieve 90 percent efficiency for increased holding performance.
